At the end of the each Himalayan season many of the Griffon gang migrate to Canada for some R&R. But our idea of R&R is little different from most! We usually allow one day to recover from jetlag then the search for powder is on. Day trips, lodge based back country trips, resort days, cat-skiing, heli-days.......we're not fussy how we get our powder fix!

There is a huge range of ski holidays on the market but it is becoming increasing difficult to diferentiate between marketing fluff and genuine information. Unlike most companies, we won't re-direct you to some sales rep in a heated office in some city. We'll hook you up directly with one of our guides and you can get advice and recommendations from the guys who are actually out there everyday. That we you can communicate directly with your guide to create a unique adventure that fits your requirements.

Meet some of our network of ski guides

Mike Taylor's passion for adventure has channeled him into a career of guiding both in his homeland of the Canadian Rockies and Kootenays, as well as The Andes of Chile and Argentina during their winters.  He says that one of the greatest benefits of working back to back winters is enjoying two springs per year.  That, and of course, being able to ski year round........

For eight years, Mike's been designing and guiding trips that appeal to a variety of skiers and snowboarders, ranging from five star amenities and high speed detachable quads to long days of back country ski touring and quaint cabañas. Mike is also fluent in Spanish and has a special knack for sniffing out pisco sours and fine wines at the best apre-ski locations at Chilean and Argantinian resorts.

When Mike is not guiding in South America he resides in Golden BC, where he ski patrols at the incredible Kicking Horse Resort and guides private ski groups. Mike is also a talented musician and occasionally you'll find him rocking the crowd with his guitar.

Chris Atkinson is the consumate ski professional. An Internationally Certified Mountain Guide (ACMG/IFMGA), Chris has been ski-guiding for twenty years. His experiences are broad and diverse from Cat-skiing near home (Squamish, BC) to Heliskiing in Canada and New Zealand, from Ski-touring in the Alps, to filming in Norway and ski-mountaineering in South America, Asia and Alaska.

Chris’s main ski passion is exploring new territory on long ski traverses. Hut to hut on the Haute Route in Europe, a long traverse in the deep powder of Western Canada or somewhere yet to be explored in Tibet, Chris is always planning some great new ski adventure.

Over the years Chris has guided at most of the Heli-ski and Cat-ski locations in British Columbia and knows where and when to find the best snow in Canada. (He's smart like fox!) When the rest of the ski community is playing board games in bad weather, Chris is usually up to his thighs in powder in a secret stach we've never heard of! Whatever level of skiing you're at Chris will maximise your time in the mountains and guarantee you'll have an outstanding alpine experience.
